- 40 g Butter
- 30 g Wheat flour type 1050
- 250 ml vegetable broth
- 250 ml milk (1.5% fat)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Grated nutmeg

Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Sprinkle the flour over it and toast lightly while stirring. Gradually pour in the broth and milk, stirring constantly until the sauce is smooth.

Simmer the sauce covered over low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
