Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 Carrot
  • 150 g mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 400 g mixed ground meat
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 200 ml meat broth
  • Salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 400 ml milk
  • 1 Tbsp freshly chopped thyme
  • 300 g lasagna sheets
  • 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan

    Peel and finely dice the onion, garlic, and carrot. Slice the mozzarella into rounds. Brown the ground meat in hot oil until crumbly. Add onions, tomato paste, garlic, and carrot; sauté briefly and dust with flour. Deglaze with broth and simmer for about 15 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally and seasoning with salt and pepper.

    Melt butter in a pot. Stir in flour and cook briefly. Gradually whisk in milk, season with salt and pepper, and let the béchamel sauce simmer gently for about 5 minutes while stirring. Add thyme at the end.
