Kleine Hamburger

- 1 old-fashioned bun
- 1 small onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 Tbsp plant oil
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 tsp sharp mustard
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- Salt
- pepper (ground)
- 8 small sesame buns (party buns)
- 8 tsp mayonnaise
- 8 cocktail tomatoes
- 8 small lettuce leaves (e.g., Lollo Rosso)

Soak the bun in lukewarm water. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and sauté the onion with garlic until translucent. Remove from heat, let cool, then mix with ground beef, mustard, parsley, the squeezed bun, and egg. Season with salt and pepper. Form 8 small balls from the mixture, flatten them, and fry in the remaining hot oil for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.

Cut the sesame buns crosswise and spread mayonnaise on the lower halves. Wash and slice the tomatoes. Rinse the lettuce and shake dry. Place the burger patties on the lower bun halves, top with lettuce and tomato, cover with the upper bun half, and secure with a toothpick before serving.
