Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 50 g sugar
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 75 g flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 100 g quark
- 75 ml milk
- 750 g sweet cherries
- butter (for the pan)
- 1 tbsp flour (for the cherries)
Instructions
-
1.
Preheat the oven to 180°C fan. Butter a casserole dish.
-
2.
Beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add flour, salt, baking powder, quark, and milk to the egg mixture and stir well.
-
3.
Wash, pit, halve, and drain the cherries. Toss lightly with 1–2 tbsp flour so they don't sink to the bottom of the batter.
-
4.
Pour half the batter into the dish, spread half the cherries on top, then pour the remaining batter over them. Smooth the surface and sprinkle the rest of the cherries on top.
-
5.
Bake in a hot oven for 35–40 minutes until golden brown and serve.
