Ingredients

  • 250 g butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 packets vanilla sugar
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 250 g semolina
  • 180 ml orange juice
  • butter (for the pan)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with upper and lower heat.

    Beat the butter until fluffy. Gradually fold in the eggs, alternating with 150 g sugar and vanilla sugar. Mix flour, semolina, and baking powder together, then gradually stir into the egg mixture with orange juice.

    Pour the batter into a greased and breadcrumb-lined ring mold, spread evenly, and bake for about 45 minutes. Test with a skewer; cover the cake with buttered parchment paper if needed to prevent browning.

    Remove the finished cake from the oven, set it on a cooling rack, and let it cool. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
