Honey Oatmeal Bars

Ingredients

  • 50 g almonds
  • 80 g dried dates
  • 80 g dried figs
  • 3 tbsp unsulfured raisins
  • 150 g liquid forest honey
  • 80 g Butter
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch clove powder
  • 350 g fine rolled oats
  • oil (for the pan)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 175°C fan.

  2. 2.

    Coarsely chop the almonds, dates, figs and raisins.

  3. 3.

    In a pot combine the honey with the butter, cinnamon and clove powder and warm until well mixed.

    Stir the oats with the dried fruit, almonds and honey mixture. Add more oats if needed.

  5. 5.

    Line an square baking dish with oiled parchment paper. Pour in the oat mixture and press firmly together. Bake on the middle rack for about 15 minutes until golden brown.

    Remove from oven and cut the hot mass into 3x3 cm squares while still warm, then let the honey oatmeal bars cool on a wire rack.
