No-Bake Oatmeal Bars

Spoonsparrow no-bake oatmeal bars: homemade bars perfect for a quick snack between meals!
Ingredients
- 300 g oats
- 100 g dried figs (chopped)
- 60 g sesame seeds
- 40 g shredded coconut
- 50 g butter
- 50 g sugar
- 100 g honey
- 1 tsp lemon juice

Mix oats, figs, sesame seeds and shredded coconut. In a saucepan combine butter, sugar, honey and lemon juice; stir and heat over medium for 3–4 minutes until the sugar dissolves.

Add the dry mixture to the sauce and stir until everything is coated with the butter-honey mixture.

Line a 24x40 cm baking sheet with parchment paper, spread the mixture onto it and use a damp rubber spatula to level the surface.

Roll the mixture flat with a rolling pin. After about 15 minutes cut into narrow bars (2 x 8 cm), let cool and store in a dry place. Note: no-bake oatmeal bars cannot be sliced when cold!
