Ingredients

  • 175 g ground winter wheat
  • 50 g flour (type 1050)
  • baking powder
  • 50 g honey
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 75 g soft butter
  • 100 g pitted dried plums
  • 100 g apricots
  • 50 g dried apple rings
  • banana chips
  • almond sticks
  • chopped cashews
  • 100 g chopped hazelnuts
  • 100 g butter
  • 150 g honey
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

Instructions

    Mix both flours and baking powder in a bowl. Add honey, vanilla sugar, egg and butter, then quickly knead into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Briefly knead again and roll out on a greased baking sheet, dusting with flour as needed. Chop fruits finely and mix with nuts.

    Heat honey, butter and vanilla sugar in a pot while stirring until dissolved. Stir the fruit-nut mixture into the honey-butter mass. Spread the warm topping over the shortcrust dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (gas: level 2-3, fan: 160°C) for about 25 minutes. Let the pastry cool overnight. Then cut into 3x7 cm squares.
