Ingredients

  • 2.5 kg plums
  • 500 g sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 lemon (juice)

Instructions

    Wash, pit, and quarter the plums. Mix with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a wide pan. Let sit for about 2 hours.

    Preheat the oven to 150°C (302°F) on both top and bottom heat.

    Place the pan in the oven and simmer the plums, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 hours depending on fruit juiciness; stir every 20-30 minutes. When thickened, remove the cinnamon stick and puree with a hand blender if desired. Transfer to prepared jars, seal tightly, and let cool before refrigerating.
