Ingredients

  • 3.5 l water
  • 350 g sugar
  • 0.5 lemon (unprocessed)
  • 20 elderflower buds
  • 2 limes (unprocessed)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Bring the water to a boil and let it cool.

  2. 2.

Add the sugar, freshly squeezed lemon juice, elderflowers, and thinly sliced limes to a large glass.

  3. 3.

Pour the cooled water over the mixture and stir until the sugar dissolves.

  4. 4.

Cover the glass with kitchen twill or muslin cloth.

  5. 5.

Let the mixture sit for 2-3 days in a sunny window. When pearls rise, the drink is ready.

  6. 6.

Be careful: elderflower sparkling drinks do not always work; taste carefully first.

  7. 7.

If slime forms – do not drink!
