- 700 g broccoli
- 2 shallots
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 4 eggs
- 250 ml heavy cream
- Tabasco
- nutmeg
- 40 g chopped almonds

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Break the broccoli into small florets, wash and drain. Peel and chop the shallots, sauté in hot butter until translucent. Add the garlic, cook briefly, then add the broccoli. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 5 minutes. In a separate bowl whisk the eggs with the cream, adding a few drops of Tabasco, nutmeg, and salt.

Transfer the broccoli to a greased baking dish, pour the egg‑cream mixture over it, and bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes. Toast the almonds without oil and sprinkle them over the finished broccoli pie.
