Ham Roast

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp apple jelly
  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1.5 kg cured pork ham roast
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter
  • mixed fruits (optional)

Instructions

    Warm the apple jelly, stir in lemon juice and cayenne pepper to make a glaze.

    Rinse the cold ham roast under running water and pat dry with paper towels.

  3. 3.

    Heat clarified butter in a roasting pan over medium heat; sear the pork on all sides until browned.

  4. 4.

    Add 200 ml water to the pan. Brush the roast with some glaze, then bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 90 minutes, basting with glaze every few minutes.

    Slice the roast into serving portions and garnish with fruit if desired.
