Ingredients

  • 150 g flour
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 50 g ground almonds
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 150 g cane sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 150 g melted butter
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 250 g sour cream
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C fan. Line muffin tin cavities with paper cups. In a bowl combine flour, cornstarch and almonds with baking powder. Beat eggs with sugar, salt, butter and vanilla sugar. Add sour cream and fold in dry mixture. Fill tins and bake for about 25 minutes (test with a skewer). Remove and cool on a rack.

    For the glaze whisk powdered sugar with lemon juice and a few drops of water until thick. Using a piping bag with a long thin tip, pipe spider or web patterns onto cupcakes. Let glaze set.
