Ingredients

  • 1 day‑old roll (softened in water)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • Parsley leaves, washed and shaken dry, chopped
  • 400 g beef tartare
  • 2 Eggs
  • 30 g breadcrumbs (3 Tbsp)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp chili sauce
  • 250 g Cherry Tomatoes
  • Wooden skewers or toothpicks

Instructions

  1. 1.

Soak the roll in water. Peel and finely chop the onion. Wash, dry, and chop the parsley leaves.

  2. 2.

Squeeze out excess water from the roll and mix it with onion, parsley, tartare, eggs, and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper, then knead into a homogeneous dough. Form small meatballs from the dough.

  3. 3.

Heat oil in a pan. Fry the balls in batches for 1–2 minutes until golden brown. Remove and drain on kitchen paper.

  4. 4.

In a small pan heat honey with Worcestershire and chili sauce. Add the meatballs, stir them in, and let cook over low heat for about 3 minutes.

  5. 5.

Wash the tomatoes. Skewer one meatball with one tomato onto each toothpick or skewer and arrange on a plate.
