Grilled Banana Chicken Skewers

The grilled banana chicken skewers from Spoonsparrow make every barbecue a hit!
Ingredients
- 800 g chicken breast fillet
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 2 Bananas
- 2 red onions
- Salt
Instructions

Soak the wooden skewers (4 small or 8 large) in water for about 30 minutes.

Wash and pat dry the chicken breasts, cut into bite‑size cubes. Whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, turmeric, thyme, and pepper; marinate the chicken cubes in this mixture for about 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Peel the bananas and slice them into ~1 cm thick rounds. Peel the onions and cut into large chunks. Thread alternating pieces of chicken, banana, and onion onto the skewers. Grill over high heat, turning occasionally, for 8–10 minutes until cooked through. Season with salt before serving.
