Ingredients

  • 12 strips banana leaf (approx 15x5 cm)
  • 500 g ground meat (mixed)
  • 1 chili pepper finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger freshly grated
  • 1 garlic clove finely chopped
  • 800 g tofu
  • soy sauce

Instructions

    Cut tofu into 12 cubes and marinate in plenty of soy sauce for about 30 minutes.

    Combine ground meat with chili, ginger, and garlic. Season with a little soy sauce and form into 12 balls.

    Place one meat ball in the center of each banana leaf strip and two tofu cubes on the sides, then fold and secure with toothpicks. Grill or bake at 180°C (convection) for about 8 minutes on all sides until cooked through. Serve immediately.
