Ingredients

  • 350 g flour
  • 0.5 cube (20 g) fresh yeast
  • 170 ml lukewarm water
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 2 onions
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 3 red peppercorns
  • 1 Spring onion
  • 450 g tomatoes (1 can)
  • 250 g lamb ground meat
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • parsley (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • 1 Pomegranate
  • 2 tbsp walnuts
  • 150 g yogurt

Instructions

  1. 1.

For the dough, stir yeast into lukewarm water until smooth. Add remaining ingredients to a bowl, add dissolved yeast, and knead with an electric hand mixer’s beaters until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes until doubled.

  2. 2.

For the topping, peel and finely chop onions and garlic. Wash peppercorns. Roughly mash tomatoes with a potato masher.

  3. 3.

Mix onion, garlic, and ground meat with cardamom and cinnamon; cook in hot oil for about 4 minutes until crumbly, seasoning with salt and pepper.

  4. 4.

Knead yeast dough on a floured surface and roll into two large round pizzas or sheet sizes. Place on greased baking sheets. Slice spring onions into strips. Spread tomatoes and onion strips over the dough, top with meat mixture and peppercorns. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (lower rack) for about 20 minutes.

  5. 5.

Meanwhile, halve the pomegranate and release seeds. Roughly chop walnuts. Sprinkle finished pizza with pomegranate seeds and walnuts, drizzle yogurt on top, garnish with parsley, cut into pieces, and serve.
