Ingredients

  • 2 Avocados
  • 350 g tuna steak (2 steaks) sushi quality
  • 1 splash Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small tomato
  • 2 tbsp green olives (chopped)
  • 1 small garlic clove (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp finely sliced basil
  • basil for garnish
  • 2 organic lemons, halved (optionally lightly grilled)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Halve the avocados, remove pits, lightly salt, drizzle with a little lemon juice and grill the halves cut side down over medium heat until grill marks appear.

  2. 2.

Cut 50 g of each tuna steak into small pieces, finely chop, and mix with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Briefly blanch tomatoes, cool, peel, quarter, seed, and dice. Mix tomatoes with sliced basil, olives, salt, pepper, and olive oil.

  3. 3.

Season the tuna steaks with salt and brush with a little olive oil. Grill each side for about 1–2 minutes. The fish should remain slightly raw in the center but warm.

  4. 4.

Slice the grilled tuna into decorative strips and arrange on preheated plates.

  5. 5.

Place the avocado halves cut side up on the plates, add two basil leaves into the indentation, and spoon tuna tartare with tomato vinaigrette over them.

  6. 6.

Garnish with halved lemons that have been lightly grilled and serve immediately.
