Tuna with Beans and Mint

Ingredients

  • 400 g Green Beans
  • Salt
  • 2 red onions
  • 600 g tuna fillet
  • pepper (ground)
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 150 ml dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp coarsely chopped mint

    Wash, trim and cut the beans into 3-4 cm pieces. Blanch in salted water for about 6 minutes. Shock in cold water and drain. Peel, halve and slice the onions into strips. Rinse the tuna, pat dry and cut into bite-sized cubes. Season with salt and pepper and gently toss with the cornstarch.

    In a non-stick pan, heat oil and brown the tuna pieces for 2-3 minutes; remove from pan. In the same pan sauté the onions with fennel for 3-4 minutes, deglaze with wine. Add the beans and tuna back in and cook together for 1-2 minutes until heated through. Fold in mint, season to taste with salt and pepper, and serve.
