Grilled Steaks

A classic on the hot grill: Grilled steaks from Spoonsparrow always come in well!

Ingredients

  • 8 large thin beef steaks (from the loin, 100 g each)
  • 1 bundle basil
  • 2 chicory heads
  • 1 bundle chives
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp sherry
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • a pinch of chili peppers

Instructions

    Beat the beef steaks slightly larger and halve them. Peel the garlic cloves and blend with the oil, add the remaining ingredients for the marinade and marinate the meat in it at least 4 hours, preferably overnight in the refrigerator.

    Heat the grill. Wash the chicory, shake dry and divide into individual leaves, lightly salt. Wash the basil and chives, shake dry, pluck the individual basil leaves.

    Grill the beef steaks briefly (1-2 minutes) on the hottest spot of the grill, flip, finish grilling and arrange four thin slices alternately with chicory on preheated plates. Garnish with basil and chives before serving.

    Serve grilled steaks with herb butter and bread.
