Grilled Romaine Hearts
Spoonsparrow grilled romaine hearts are elevated by a delicious blue cheese dressing for the perfect grill experience.
Ingredients
- 1 Organic Lime
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp light miso paste (15 g)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 romaine hearts
- 4 tbsp almonds (15 g)
- 0.25 bunch Chives (5 g)
- 60 g blue cheese (60% fat in solids)
- 4 tbsp sour cream (10% fat; 15 g)
- 5 tbsp yogurt (3.5% fat; 20 g)
- Salt
- Pepper

Cut the lime in half and squeeze out the juice (use the remainder elsewhere). Peel the garlic and finely dice it. Whisk together olive oil, miso, honey, and 1 tbsp lime juice.

Halve the romaine hearts lengthwise, wash them, and pat dry. Brush with the miso mixture and grill over high heat for 6–7 minutes, turning halfway through.

Meanwhile, toast the almonds in a dry pan over medium heat for 3 minutes. Wash the chives, pat dry, and slice into thin rings.

For the dressing, finely chop the blue cheese, blend it with sour cream, yogurt, and 2 tbsp lime juice until creamy, then season with salt and pepper.

Arrange the grilled romaine hearts on a platter, drizzle with the dressing, sprinkle chopped almonds and chive rings on top.
