Ingredients

  • 8 thin pork cutlets (about 140 g each)
  • olive oil
  • Salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 2 onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp plant oil
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 200 ml meat broth
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (e.g., rosemary, thyme and parsley)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Preheat the oven to grill mode with a rack (and a fat pan underneath).

  2. 2.

Rinse the pork cutlets and pat dry. Brush with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place on the rack in the oven and grill for 8-10 minutes, turning once.

  3. 3.

Meanwhile peel and slice the onions into rings; peel and slice the garlic into rounds. Cook both slowly in hot oil in a pan until golden brown. Dust with flour and deglaze with broth. Let simmer gently for a few minutes so the sauce thickens slightly. Add herbs at the end and season with salt and pepper.

  4. 4.

Pour over the meat slices and serve.

  5. 5.

Serve with optional bread chips and vegetable sautéed potatoes as desired.
