Ingredients

  • 1 kg beans
  • 200 ml sweet whipping cream (1 cup)
  • 150 g hazelnuts (chopped, skins on)
  • 150 g cheese (grated)
  • 2 tbsp parmesan
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tsp bean herb mix (ground)
  • 2 tbsp butter (in small cubes)

Instructions

    Clean the beans, cut in halves or thirds if needed, and cook in plenty of salted water for about 6-10 minutes until al dente. Mix with 2/3 of the hazelnuts and cheese, add bean herb mix, and transfer to a baking dish. Season the cream with salt and pepper and pour over the beans. Top with remaining cheese, nuts, and some butter cubes.

    Bake at about 180°C (356°F) on the middle rack for approximately 20 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Serve with boiled potatoes.
