Gratinated Fennel

Ingredients
- 750 g fennel
- 0.25 l vegetable broth (from the jar)
- 3 tomatoes
- 0.125 l heavy cream
- 70 g Gouda cheese
- 1 Tbsp parsley
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
- fat for greasing the dish

Clean the fennel, remove the root and stem, cut off the fennel fronds, wash and finely chop them. Slice the bulbs lengthwise in half, cut out the core in a wedge shape. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Bring the vegetable broth to a boil and cook the fennel in it for 5 minutes, then remove with a slotted spoon. Grease a baking dish with butter and place the fennel inside. Boil the tomatoes briefly, cool them, peel and quarter them. Add the tomatoes to the fennel. Mix the cream with cheese, parsley, salt and pepper and pour over the vegetables. Top with butter flakes and bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with fennel fronds before serving.
