Ingredients

  • 800 g fresh strawberries
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 3 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 500 g sugar
  • 3 l vodka

Instructions

    Clean, wash and pat dry the strawberries, then puree them. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a knife. Combine the strawberry puree with the vanilla seeds, the whole pod, lemon juice and 1 l of brandy in a sealable bottle. Store the mixture in a cool place for about two weeks, shaking it regularly.

    Afterward strain the mixture through a cotton cloth and squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Cook the sugar with 1 l water over medium heat for about 20 minutes until dissolved. Mix the sugar syrup with the strained mixture and remaining brandy. Finally transfer the liqueur into sterile bottles and seal tightly.
