Grandma's Apple Compote

Ingredients

  • 1 kg apples
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 Vanilla Beans
  • 2 untreated lemons (juice)

Instructions

    Peel the apples, quarter them and cut out the core. Cover with lemon juice, sugar and split vanilla beans and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside and let it steep uncovered for 10 minutes.

    Remove the vanilla beans only after the compote has cooled well. Fill prepared jars with Grandma’s apple compote, seal tightly and store in a dark, cool place.
