Ingredients

  • 2 kg light cherries from the jar (net weight)
  • 40 ml cherry brandy
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 2 packets powdered gelatin (2:1)

Instructions

    Wash the cherries, drain them, remove stems and pits. Mix with the cherry brandy and sugar, cover, and let the juice draw out overnight.

    Add the gelatin to the cherries in a pot over high heat, stirring constantly until it boils, then cook for 1 minute. Fill the jam into covered jars, seal, and cool upside down.
