Cherry Jam

Making cherry jam is very easy. Spoonsparrow shows you how to do it.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg sour cherries (pitted)
  • 500 g gelatin sugar from raw cane sugar (2:1)

    Clean jars and rinse with hot water, then flip them over to dry. Boil the lids briefly in water.

    Place cherries in a large pot, crush slightly with a potato masher, add gelatin sugar, bring to a boil, and simmer for 3 minutes while stirring.

    Fill jars almost full with jam, seal, and place upside down on the lids for about 10 minutes.

    Flip again and let cool. Store in a cool, dark place.
