Gingerbread Balls

This is how Christmas tastes! The gingerbread balls bring Advent flavors in a handy snack format.

Ingredients

  • 1 Organic Orange
  • 60 g coconut oil (3 tbsp)
  • 120 g almond butter (12 tbsp)
  • 20 g agave syrup (2 tbsp)
  • 40 g almonds (2 tbsp)
  • 100 g whole‑grain cookies
  • 50 g soft oat flakes (5 tbsp)
  • 30 g ground flaxseed (3 tbsp)
  • 30 g Ground Almonds
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp gingerbread spice

Instructions

    Rinse the orange hot, dry it and grate its zest. Combine the orange zest, coconut oil, almond butter, and agave syrup in a saucepan and melt.

    Meanwhile finely chop the almonds. Place whole‑grain cookies in a freezer bag and crush them with a rolling pin into fine crumbs. Set aside half of the cookie crumbs.

    Mix the chopped almonds with the remaining cookie crumbs, oat flakes, flaxseed, ground almonds, salt, and gingerbread spice. Add the coconut oil–almond butter mixture and stir thoroughly. Chill the gingerbread mixture for 15 minutes.

    Form about thirty small balls from the mixture and roll them in the reserved cookie crumbs. Serve the gingerbread balls or store them in the refrigerator if needed.
