Ingredients
- 125 g raw cane sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 125 g butter (or margarine)
- 3 eggs
- 4 tbsp milk (1.5% fat) (40 ml)
- 250 g wheat flour type 1050
- 1 packet baking powder
- a pinch of salt
Instructions
-
1.
Beat the sugar, vanilla sugar and soft fat in a mixing bowl until fluffy. Add eggs and milk to the sugar-fat mixture and stir well.
-
2.
In a separate bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt, then add to the other ingredients. Gently fold until a smooth batter without lumps forms.
-
3.
Line a baking tin with parchment paper, pour the batter in and spread evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 °C (fan: 150 °C, gas: level 2‑3) for about 40‑50 minutes until golden brown (the flatter the pan, the shorter the bake time).
-
4.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. If necessary, loosen the cake edge with a knife, remove the batter from the tin and set on a cooling rack.
