Ginger Thyme Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 piece ginger (3-4 cm)
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 600 ml freshly brewed black tea
  • 350 ml apple juice
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 4 small thyme sprigs
  • 2 tbsp fresh cranberries

Instructions

    Peel the ginger and slice it into rounds. Wash the lemon hot and cut it into about 0.5 cm thick slices. Put the tea, apple juice, ginger, lemon, and spices in a pot, heat slowly and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. If desired, strain out the spices.

    For serving pour honey into a teacup and pour the hot tea over it, add one thyme sprig and some cranberries, then serve.
