Ingredients

  • 3 apples
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet red gelatin powder
  • 200 g sugar
  • 250 ml cherry nectar
  • 1 packet green gelatin powder
  • 1 packet yellow gelatin powder
  • 250 ml clear apple juice

Instructions

  1. 1.

Peel the apples, halve them, remove the core, cut the flesh into cubes and blanch in sweetened boiling water for about 2 minutes. Drain, rinse with cold water and let drain well. Refill the cherry juice with water to 500 ml. Mix the red gelatin powder with 50 g sugar, stir into the cherry juice-water mixture and heat until dissolved (do not boil!). Pour the liquid into a ring mold and tilt the mold in the refrigerator so that the liquid collects on one side.

  2. 2.

Cool the mixture for about 2-3 hours (until it starts to set), then sprinkle some apple pieces in and cool another 2-3 hours until firm. Mix the green gelatin powder with 100 g sugar, stir into 500 ml water and heat until dissolved (do not boil!). Pour into the ring mold and tilt so that the liquid collects opposite the red jelly. Cool for 2-3 hours, add apple pieces and cool another 2-3 hours.

  3. 3.

Mix the yellow gelatin powder with 50 g sugar, stir into the apple juice and 250 ml water and heat until dissolved (do not boil!). Pour into the ring mold to fill the gaps and place in the refrigerator. Cool for 2-3 hours, add remaining apple pieces and cool another 2-3 hours. To serve, briefly dip the mold in hot water and pour the jelly out of the mold.
