Fruit Salad with Tea Syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp jasmine tea leaves
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 Tbsp sake
  • 1 medium watermelon
  • 4 kiwis
  • 10 fresh lychees
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds

Instructions

    Boil 300 ml water, add jasmine tea leaves, honey, and sake; simmer for 2 minutes, remove from heat and let cool.

    Halve the watermelon, core it, and scoop out the flesh with a melon baller.

    Peel kiwis and slice them into rounds.

    Pit and peel lychees.

    Toast sunflower seeds in a dry pan until fragrant.

    Combine all prepared fruits, pour the tea syrup over them through a sieve, marinate for about 8 hours, stirring occasionally.

    Serve in bowls topped with toasted sunflower seeds.
