Fruit Salad with Red Wine Figs

Ingredients

  • 8 dried figs
  • 50 ml dry red wine
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 mandarins
  • 1 apple
  • 250 ml Whipping Cream
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • mint (for garnish)

Instructions

    Coarsely chop the figs. Bring the red wine and honey to a boil, pour over the figs and let cool. Peel the oranges and mandarins thoroughly, quarter them and slice into rounds. Wash the apple, quarter it, remove the core, peel if desired, and cut into pieces.

    Combine the figs with the oranges (reserve four slices for garnish), mandarins, and apple. Whip the cream with cinnamon and vanilla sugar to a semi-firm consistency. Layer alternately with the fruit salad in four glasses and serve garnished with orange wedges and mint.
