Ingredients
- 600 g large squid tubes
- 2 red chili peppers
- 1 egg
- 150 g flour
- 0.125 l dry white wine
- Salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- 500 ml oil for frying
- Lemon juice
- chili sauce (pre-made)
Instructions

Cut the squid into rings. Wash the chili peppers, slice them lengthwise, deseed, remove the white pith and finely dice.

Separate the egg. Beat the egg whites to half‑firm peaks. Mix flour, chili, yolk, beaten whites, wine, a pinch of salt, and 1 tbsp oil thoroughly.

Dip the squid rings in the batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drizzle with lemon juice, season with salt, and serve with chili sauce.
