Sautéed radicchio – a tasty and healthy Italian starter!

Ingredients

  • 4 radicchio
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 4 tbsp olive oil (40 ml)
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 40 g pecorino cheese (freshly grated)
  • Salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

    Clean, wash, and dry the radicchio. Depending on size, cut it lengthwise into quarters or eighths so the slices remain connected at the stem.

    Peel and finely chop the garlic. In a pan with olive oil over low heat, sauté the garlic until fragrant and set aside. Brush the radicchio with 2 tbsp olive oil and cook for about 5 minutes on each side.

    Season with salt, pepper, and the sautéed garlic. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Plate the fried radicchio and sprinkle pecorino cheese over it.
