Fried Oysters

Spoonsparrow fried oysters are a real treat, try them yourself.
Ingredients
- 6 opened oysters
- 50 g cornmeal
- 1 tbsp wheat flour
- 1 tsp starch
- 1 pinch baking powder
- Salt
- 1 Egg white
- 0.125 l lukewarm milk
- 500 ml oil (for frying)
- 2 tbsp tomato cubes
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions

Whisk cornmeal, wheat flour, starch, baking powder, salt, egg and milk into a not too stiff batter; add more milk if needed. Coat oysters in the batter. Heat oil in a deep fryer until bubbles appear on a wooden stick (about 180°C). Fry oysters one or two at a time for 2‑3 minutes while turning. Drain on kitchen paper.

Arrange fried oysters with some seasoned tomato cubes in the lower oyster shells.
