Fried Apple Rings with Honey

Crispy fried apple rings glazed with honey and a hint of citrus, served warm for a sweet treat from Spoonsparrow.

Ingredients

  • 2 Boskop apples
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 untreated lemon (juice and zest)
  • 3 cardamom pods
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey
  • 2 tbsp Amaretto

Instructions

    Wash the apples and use a cutter to remove the cores. Slice the apples into rings and fry them in hot butter until golden.

    Add lemon juice, zest, cardamom pods, and honey. Simmer for about 2-4 minutes. Stir in amaretto. Plate the apple rings on serving dishes.
