  • 100 ml milk (3.5% fat)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 Tbsp almond flakes
  • 4 slices wheat mixed bread
  • 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 200 g lingonberries
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 Tbsp raw cane sugar (as needed)
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

    Whisk milk and eggs. Spread almond flakes on a flat plate and heat oil in a pan. Dip the bread first into the milk‑egg mixture, then coat with almonds and fry both sides over medium heat for about 3 minutes each until golden brown.

    Drain the French toast on kitchen paper. Rinse lingonberries under cold water and warm them with water in a small pot over low heat, sweetening with sugar if desired. Arrange the bread on plates and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
