Ingredients

  • 1 large pear
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 30 ml almond milk
  • 2 slices spelt bread
  • neutral plant oil
  • 1 heaping tbsp quark
  • maple syrup
  • fruit (e.g., banana)
  • walnuts
  • hemp seeds

Instructions

  1. 1.

Peel and cube the pears, then simmer with a generous pinch of cinnamon in a pot until soft.

  2. 2.

Whisk together the egg, almond milk, and 1 tsp cinnamon in a bowl. Dip each bread slice first in one side of the mixture, then flip to coat the other side.

  3. 3.

Heat a little oil in a non‑stick pan over medium heat and let it melt.

  4. 4.

Place the coated bread slices in the pan, pour a bit more egg–milk mixture over them, and fry 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.

  5. 5.

Remove the toast from the pan, place on a plate, and garnish with sliced banana, walnuts, hemp seeds, quark, and maple syrup.
