Ingredients

  • 75 g raisins (to taste)
  • 50 g Pumpkin seeds
  • 250 g fine rolled oats
  • 100 g coarsely ground oats
  • 100 g coarsely ground spelt flakes
  • 200 g brown cane sugar
  • 50 g beetroot syrup
  • 325 g butter

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 160°C fan.

    Mix raisins, pumpkin seeds, oat and spelt flakes with cane sugar in a bowl. Slowly heat beetroot syrup and butter in a saucepan, stir well, then combine thoroughly with oats and sugar.

    Spread evenly onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper to about 1 cm thickness.

    Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven, cut into bars roughly 2×10 cm long, and cool on a wire rack.
