Filled Croissants

Spoonsparrow filled croissants taste like a sweet breakfast, dessert or simply a snack!

Ingredients

  • 6 sheets frozen puff pastry
  • 150 g ground hazelnuts
  • 5 tbsp whipping cream
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 lemon zest
  • flour (for rolling)
  • parchment paper
  • melted butter (for brushing)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Gently separate the puff pastry sheets, place each on a board and cover with a damp cloth until thawed.

    Meanwhile mix the filling ingredients together. Place the thawed sheets on a floured surface and roll them out to twice their size. Cut each sheet into 4 triangles.

    Place a portion of filling in the center of each triangle and roll the dough from the tip. Bend the filled rolls into croissant shapes and place them on a parchment-lined baking tray.

    Brush the filled croissants with melted butter and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. Let cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
