Ingredients

  • 8 fresh figs
  • 8 slices Serrano ham (or Parma ham depending on size)
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • wooden skewers

Instructions

    Wash figs, pat dry and cut in half (quarter if large). Place a small sprig of thyme on each fig and wrap with a slice of ham. Secure with a wooden skewer and serve as a small appetizer.

    Optionally sear the ham-wrapped figs briefly in hot butter until golden.
