Fig Jam with Red Wine

The fig jam with red wine from Spoonsparrow tastes wonderful on freshly toasted bread, in desserts or pastries.

Ingredients

  • 1200 g figs
  • 2 cloves of clove
  • 300 ml red wine
  • 500 g gelatin sugar (3:1)

Instructions

    Wash the figs, halve them and cut into strips. Combine with cloves and red wine in a pot.

    Add the sugar, stir well and let stand for 2 hours. Slowly bring to a boil and simmer for 4 minutes while bubbling.

    Perform a gel test, fill prepared jars completely, seal tightly, and immediately place on a dish towel with the lid down. Let sit for 5 minutes, then flip and allow the fig jam with red wine to cool.
