Fig Jam

The fig jam from Spoonsparrow is always well received – whether on fresh bread or in desserts and pastries.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg ripe fig
  • 1 kg gelatin sugar (1:1)
  • 100 ml port wine

Instructions

    Wash, prune and cube the figs. Mix with the gelatin sugar and let stand for 2 hours. Then, while stirring, bring to a boil with port wine and simmer for 3 minutes.

    Immediately pour into hot-washed jars, seal, and place on lids for about 15 minutes before turning over and allowing the fig jam to cool.
