Ingredients
- 150 g ready sushi rice
- vinegar water (for shaping)
- 200 g unagi (grilled marinated eel)
- 1 tsp wasabi
- 0.5 roasted nori seaweed
Instructions
-
1.
Divide the sushi rice into 8 portions and shape each portion into a small ball (or elongated oval) with hands dampened in vinegar water.
-
2.
Cut the unagi into 8 pieces, spread a little wasabi on the underside of each piece and place it upside down in your hand. Place one rice ball on the wasabi-coated side of the eel, press lightly while using the tip of your left thumb to keep its shape. Flip the nigiri sushi and reshape with two fingers if necessary. Repeat for the remaining unagi nigiri.
-
3.
Cut the nori sheet into 8 strips. Wrap each strip around a nigiri; dampen the ends on the underside of the nigiri and press them together. Arrange the unagi nigiri with the rice side facing down.
