- 12 pears
- 1 lemon

Wash pears thoroughly, pat dry, halve and remove core. Cut lemon in half and squeeze juice. Mix juice with 500 ml water. Soak pears in mixture and drain on kitchen paper. Place a rack on baking sheet lined with parchment and arrange pears on it. Dehydrate pears in preheated oven at 60 °C fan-forced, turning occasionally. Drying time ranges between 8–16 hours depending on variety or size. Fruit should be elastic but not mushy after cooling (test by removing a piece from the thickest part). Store cooled fruit in a cool dry place.
