Ingredients

  • 300 g dates (pitted)
  • 50 g pistachio nuts
  • 50 g almonds
  • 1 Banana
  • 2 tbsp orange blossom water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 250 g Yufka dough
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

    Finely chop the dates with pistachios and almonds (or pulse in a food processor). Peel the banana and mash it with a fork. Combine everything with orange blossom water and cinnamon.

    Spread the dough sheets and cut into about 16 strips (≈10x20 cm). Place 1 tbsp of filling on the narrow side of each strip, brush edges with beaten egg white, fold sides over the filling, and roll into small parcels. Once all pastries are formed, fry them in hot oil for 5‑6 minutes until golden brown. Serve on olive twigs if desired.
