Ingredients

  • 2 small ripe tomatoes
  • 300 g mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano
  • 6 pickled sardine fillets
  • 4 slices of white loaf bread
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt (pepper)

Instructions

    Wash the tomatoes, cut them crosswise into slices, then cut into strips and remove the stem ends. Slice the mozzarella into 8 pieces. Rinse the sardine fillets, pat dry and split lengthwise.

    Preheat the oven to 175°C, grease a baking sheet with oil. Cut each bread slice in half and spread butter on it. Top each bread piece with one mozzarella slice, some tomato strips, and 1-2 sardine fillets. Sprinkle oregano over the bread and season generously with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
