Creamy Waffles

The creamy waffles by Spoonsparrow are baked in no time, super fluffy and perfect for the afternoon!

Ingredients

  • 100 g spelt flour type 1050
  • 150 g whipping cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 0.5 vanilla pod (aroma)
  • 0.5 lemon
  • 30 g butter (liquid)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 30 g raw cane sugar
  • butter (for the waffle iron)
  • raw cane – powdered sugar

Instructions

    Sift flour into a bowl, stir in cream, yolks, vanilla aroma, and butter. Wash lemon hot, grate zest, and add to the bowl.

    Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt and sugar until very stiff, then fold gently in. Preheat waffle iron and grease with butter.

    Add a few tablespoons of batter to the iron, spread it out, bake waffles one by one, and keep warm in a lightly heated oven or let cool on a wire rack.

    Dust waffles with powdered sugar and serve.
